The blade steel is CPM154, a powdered blade steel that is very uniform and takes and holds an edge. For left-handed use, press the blade-release/lock button with your index finger instead of your thumb. The Launch 4 has a single-position pocket-clip and carries tip-up. The Launch 4 is a cool little knife with a blade deployment that it quite satisfying. It is a well thought out knife in a small, convenient package. The downside is that the deployment spring - and this goes for all the springs that Kershaw/ZT uses in their auto/assisted knives - is not durable. I've always hated Kershaw's spring assisted knives and figured an auto would be more of the same. Honestly, I'm blown away with how cool the auto mechanism is.
